networking ::
Briefly
Why
Freelance advertising talents looking to expand their network can now do so with more flexibility and less restrictions.
How
On the platform, users can hire for a project by searching or browsing through a collection of handpicked advertising professionals.
What
Briefly is a platform that lets advertsing freelancers working remote connect with clients and team up with other talents.
User Journey
From the provided research data and persona, two main user categories were identified: the talent and the client. We developed a user journey to help understand the steps users take when trying to get hired and when looking to hire freelancers. This way, we could identify the issues they faced at various stages and determine how we could provide a better experience.

Usability Testing
Testing was carried out at various development phases of the product. One of the most interesting results involved onboarding new users. The user experience was designed to be simple so that new users could effortlessly and intuitively find and use features without any instructions. However, during testing, we observed that even though the learnability was low, it still caused some users a lot of discomfort and confusion when exploring the interface for the first time. To address this, we included a short introductory walkthrough that highlighted key information and features for first-time users.

Brand Guide
Briefly's visual identity was designed to resonate with users, align with the brand positioning and serve as a signature across various touchpoints.

UI Design
A modular and bold user interface was designed to accommodate the different types of users on the platform and enhance navigation.

Role
For this project, my primary role was designing the UI and supporting with UX. It involved close collaboration with the founders & developers to iterate and test the product.
Takeaway
At every stage of the project, there was a functional product. This allowed the team to continously test the product with users. Even though this allowed us discover issues in advance, it also made me realize that having a fluid, "done is better than perfect" mindset can also be effective.
Next Steps
The project is a living digital product. Changes are constantly being made on frontend and backend, based on the feedback received from users.
